Milkshakes

The college group at our church invited the high school students to come and enjoy milkshakes with them tonight. Once everyone was at the church, we got out the ice cream and toppings! My personal favorite was the chocolate ice cream and mini Reese's Cups. Once we decided what flavor and toppings we wanted, we put them into the blender and put it on high for 1-2 minutes. It didn't look the same coming out of the blender as it did going in. I knew in my mind that it was not going to taste like banana, strawberry, or even blueberry because I didn't add those ingredients. The final result was still going to taste like chocolate and Reese's Cups. This made me think. In life, we don't know what outcome we have when our decisions and actions are  'put into the blender'.  We don't know what character and reputation will be the end result of our daily decisions. Our final goal is to produce a solid Christian whose 'flavor' is pleasing to God. The only way to ensure this will happen is to make daily decisions that keep sin from destroying the final flavor of our lives so that God will not 'spew us' out!!
